STEP 1: Open up an image and to use gradient, select the gradient tool; it might be hidding behind your paint bucket tool, so just right click like in the picture below.


STEP 2: Create a New > Layer. Click + hold + drag your mouse over your image so you will see a line, feel free to move it anywhere before you let go of your mouse.


STEP 3: Your picture should now look like this:


STEP 4: For the layer of the gradient, select screen


STEP 5: Almost done! Too bright for you? Bring down the opacity level
