1. Open up your desired image. I will be using one of my old pictures.. only because I was too lazy to use a celeb or a SM.


2. Duplicate the layer, Layer > Duplicate Layer > OK. Then, for the duplicated layer, go to Image > Adjustments > Desaturate. This is what your image should look like now:


3. Next, go to your tool bar and select the Eraser (E). After that, choose a hard round brush along with the appropriate pixel size.


4. Erase the object that you want to be undesaturated. I will be erasing my tank top.




5. Once you've erased all the big areas, You might have to zoom in a little closer to get the smaller parts and edges.
